| Obituary of MARGARET FRICK |
| Margaret Frick, 78, of Durham, known as
"Blondie" to countless friends over a wide area, died April 17, 2000, at
Salina Regional Medical Center. Born at Tampa on Sept. 4, 1921, she was the daughter of Francis and Theresa (Neuwirth) Jirak. She was married to Earl Frick and the couple owned and operated the E and M Cafe in Durham for many years. The cafe was noted for good food, wonderful pies, and stimulating conversation. Her husband died in 1990. Survivors include a brother, Eurene Jirak, Stuart, Iowa; sisters, Rose Marie Calloway, Colorado Springs, Colo., Rosalie McGinnis, Stuart, Iowa, and Jane Ann Barnett, Morris, Ill. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church of Marion County. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church in Tampa with Father Steve Gronert officiating. Burial will be in the cemetery at Pilsen. The rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, at Hillsboro Memorial Chapel, Hillsboro. |
