Obituary of LEEROY "BRUCE" HEIN
LeeRoy "Bruce" Hein, 73, retired mechanic and farmer, died Feb. 14 at his home in Durham. Services were held Feb. 17 at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Tampa, with Clark Davis officiating. Burial was at Durham Park Cemetery, rural Durham.

He was born Jan. 10, 1927, to Jake Hein and Hannah Fisher in rural Durham. 
In 1946, he was married to Helen Louise Gray, who predeceased him. On Sept. 26, 1986, he was married to Shirley Albright Vogel, who survives him.

He is also survived by two sons, Jim of Valley Center and David of Hillsboro; a stepson, Tim Vogel of Marion; one daughter, Wanda Schroeder of Moundridge; stepdaughters Debbie Vankleek of Bellview, Neb., Sherri Hinnenkamp of Benton and Nancy Vogel of Manhattan; five grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.

Memorial funds have been established for Central Home Health and Hospice and St. John’s Lutheran Church.
