Obituary of HELEN EMALINE (STEPHENS) HESS

Helen Emaline Stephens Hess was born on September 19, 1906, in Osawatomie, Kansas, to Jessie Mayo and Lewis Hall Stephens.

She was married to Donald M. Hess on March 18, 1925 in the Peabody Methodist church. To this union two daughters were born: Elizabeth Anne and Virginia Louise.

Mrs. Hess spent the remainder of her life in Peabody, passing away at St. Luke's Hospital in Marion at 1;30 a.m., January 5, at the age of 61 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Hall Stephens.

Surviving her are: her husband, Donald M. Hess; her children; Elizabeth Anne Sebree and husband, and Virginia Louise Becker and husband; her mother, Jessie Mayo Stephens; one sister, May Ables; one brother, Sewis Stephens and wife; one great-aunt, Ada Kaltenback; five grand-children, Sandra Watts and husband, Bruce and Tana Sebree, Bryan and James Becker; one great grand-child, Denise Watts, and many nieces and nephews.
