| Obituary of GRACE UTTING |
| Former Marion County Health Nurse Grace
Utting, 77, died Oct. 23, 2000, at Hillsboro Community Medical Center,
Hillsboro. Born Dec. 16, 1922, at Hillsboro, she was the daughter of George and Elizabeth Schroeder Jost. She married William W. Utting Sept. 24, 1949, at Hillsboro. He died in 1991. In addition to being a registered nurse, she also was a member of Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church. Survivors include a son, W. Stanley Utting, Marion; two daughters, Billie Jean Wiebe, Clovis, Calif., and Mary Utting, Wichita; five brothers, Marvin, Larry, and Norton Jost, Hillsboro, Leroy Jost, Henderson, Neb., and Dean Jost, Aurora, Neb.; and two grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hillsboro Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church with the Rev. Bruce Porter officiating. A private family burial will be held prior to funeral services. A memorial fund has been established in her name with the American Red Cross. |
