The earliest Lincoln County newspaper available on microfilm is the Lincoln County News, which was published from March 1873 to March 1874. The next oldest paper is a single issue of the Lincoln County Patriot, published in 1875. It contained no obituaries. The Lincoln County/Saline Valley Register began publishing in 1876.
