PETER WAGNER

The funeral for Peter M. Wagner, 83, Easton, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Lawrence Church, Easton. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.

Mr. Wagner died early today in Medicalodge, Atchison. He was born in Atchison County May 30, 1897, a son of Lawrence and Elizabeth Penning Wagner.

He was a retired farmer and a retired Veterans Administration Medical Center aide. He was a member of St. Lawrence Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He was married to Mary E. Domann July 22, 1926. She survives at the home.

Also surviving are six sons, Peter L. Wagner, Sunrise Beach, Mo., Clarence J. Wagner, Easton, Robert Wagner, Lansing, Walter Wagner, Easton, Anthony Wagner, Leavenworth, and Merlin Wagner, Lansing; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Kenny and Mrs. Clara Goetz, both of Leavenworth; two brothers Matt Wagner and Lawrence Wagner, both of Atchison; 39 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

A son, Leo Wagner, died in 1964, and a daughter, Clarita Wagner, died at birth.

The parish Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Belden-Sexton-Sumpter Funeral Chapel and at 7 p.m. Tuesday by members of St. Patrick's Council of the Knights of Columbus. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today. The family suggests memorials to St. Lawrence Church.

NED RUSH

The funeral for NED RUSH, 75, Lansing, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Memory Garden Chapel, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.

Mr. Rush died Thursday in St John Hospital. He was born Aug. 7, 1905, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Lon and Fannie Rush.

He married to Josephine Sherley in 1930. She died in January, 1953.

Survivors include fours sons, Lonnie Rush, Leavenworth,, Robert Rush, North Kansas City, Mo., Terry Rush, Leavenworth, and Ed Rush Platte Woods, Mo.; four daughters, Mrs. Sherley Baragary, Mrs. Patricia Fink, Mrs. Loretta Murphy and Mrs. Kathleen Fink, all of Leavenworth; a sister Mrs. Marie Bolger, Sioux Falls, S.D., 40 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family has suggested memorial to St. John Hospital. Friends may call at Belden-Sexton-Sumpter Funeral Chapel.

Funeral arrangements are pending for Mrs. Mildred M. Workman, 52, 778 Delaware.

Mrs. Workman died Saturday at Cushing Memorial Hospital. She was born Dec. 4, 1927, in Valiant, Okla. the daughter of Vergil and Carmel Barnes James.

She married Warren J. Workman Dec. 22, 1945. He survives at the home.

Other survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Patricia Ann Decarskey, Leavenworth; her mother, Mrs. Carmel James, Valiant, Okla.; her brothers, Vergil James Jr., Grapevine, Texas, and Carl James, Leavenworth; and her gransons, Brian Decarskey, Jeremey Workman and Justin Workman, all of Leavenworth. A son, Larry W. Workman preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Mrs. Julia F. Holtgraves, 87, formerly of 1003 N. 13th, will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Carmelite Church.

Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. The parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the Belden-Sexton-Sumpter Funeral Chapels where friends may call after 10 a.m. today.

Mrs. Holtgraves was a native of Leavenworth, born here May 24, 1893. She was the daughter of Michael and Katherine Smith Farrell.

She was married to Phil Holtgraves who died in 1978. She was a member of St. Joseph Carmelite Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Helen Starostka, 1317 Pawnee; her sons, Don Holtgraves, Overland Park, and Philip Holtgraves Jr., Olathe; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Harmon Becklean, 80, Kansas City, Mo., will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the graveside in Leavenworth National Cemetery.

Mr. Becklean died Friday at the Veterans Administration Medical Center where he had been a patient in the nursing home section for the past 10 years.

He was born in Chicago, the son of Frank A. and Lois Harmon Becklean. He was a world War II veteran, having served in the Army. He was an automobile salesman before his retirement.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Conn, Bronxville, N.Y.; three brothers, Frank Becklean, Kansas City, Mo., Roy Becklean, Kansas City, Mo., and Jack Becklean, Sun City Ariz; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services for Laura Enyard Smith, 39, 305 Spruce, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Holsey Chapel in St. Joseph, Mo.

Burial will be in the Ashland Cemetery in St. Joseph. Wake services will be 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Bullock Funeral Home in St. Joseph.

She died Friday evening at St. John Hospital. She was born June 4, 1941, at St. Joseph and was a daughter of Dave and Marjorie Enyard Smith. She was a member of Salvastion Temple.

Survivors include four daughters, Diana M. Smith, Rebecca L. Smith, Julie Ann Smith and Mary Ann Smith all of Leavenworth; three sons, James E. Smith, Fort Leavenworth; William Smith and Arthur L. Smith of Leavenworth; two brothers, Arthur Smith, Washington, D.C. and Rev. Joseph Smith, St. Joseph; and two sisters, Mary E. Tolbert, Leavenworth and Ruth McDonald. St. Joseph.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel B. Rollins, 83, 626 Central, will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Davis Funeral Chapel.

The Rev. Otis Beach, pastor of the Easton United Methodist Church, will officiate. burial will be in the Sunset Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Rollins died Friday at Cushing Memorial Hospital. She had been in failing health the past six months.

She was born Aug 22, 1897, near Potter, a daughter of Robert F. and Elizabeth Sahw Bishopo. She and Walter Rollins, formerly of Lucas, were married Mary 23, 1925. The spent most of their life in the Potter vicinity.

They operated the Potter Grain Co. for 30 years and were employed in the vehicle department at the state office in Topeka for 13 years. They moved to Leavenworth in 1972. Mr. Rollins died in 1974.

Mrs. Rollins was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by a sister. Mrs. Albert Nieman, Leavenworth and many nieces and nephews.

FRED SPINDLER--died December 20, 1980

Funeral services for Fred D. Spindler, 90, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Belden-Sexton-Sumpter Funeral Chapels.
Rev. William Nowlin, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officate. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Mr. Spindler died Saturday at the Leavenworth County Infirmary. He was born in Leavenworth, Feb. 10, 1890, the son of Valetine and Elizabeth Mistler Spindler. He married Alberta W. Tuttle Jan. 15, 1916.
Mr Spindler was a member of the First Christian Church and Local 499 Carpenters. Union.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alberta Spindler; his son Russell Spindler; his daughters, Mrs. Helen Monsell and Mrs. Donna Kowalewski, all of Leavenworth; his son Fred Spindler, Gardnerville, Nev.; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial to the Leavenworth County Infirmary or the First Christian Church.
Friends may call at the chapel after noon today.

RUSSELL TUTTLE--died March 2, 1981

Funeral services for Russell A. Tuttle, 86, 920 S. Fifth, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Belden-Sexton-Sumpter Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.

He died Monday at the Leavenworth County Infirmary.

Mr. Tuttle was born Oct. 20, 1894, in Leavenworth to Frederick and Mary Robbins Tuttle. He was married to Josephine Schmidt for 62 years.

He was a painter employed by the Smith Brothers Painting Company. After he retired from that position he was employed by the Snyder Grocery Co.

Mr. Tuttle was a member of the First Christian Church, Hiram Masonic Lodge No. 68, A.F. & A.M. and Abdallah Shrine.

His survivors include his wife Josephine Tuttle of the home; one sister, Mrs Alberta Spindler, 1135 Ironmoulders, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Belden-Sexton-Sumpter Funeral Chapel. The family suggests memorials to the church or to the Leavenworth County Infirmary.

FREDA WOODARD

The funeral for FREDA HELENE WOODARD, 76, 902 Pawnee, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Belden-Sexton-Sumpter Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Muncie Cemetery.

Mrs. Woodard died Sunday, March 22, 1981, in Cushing Memorial Hospital. She was born April 14, 1904 in Leavenworth, a daughter of Otto and Martha Butzin Korth.

She was employed as a cook for the Colonial Manor Nursing Home, Lansing. She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist.

She married Lewis W. Woodard Sept. 1, 1920. he died in 1962.

Survivors include a son Kenneth Woodard, a daughter Mrs. Jewel Suddith, 829 Kiowa; two sisters, Edna Asbury and Margie Donnell, both of Leavenworth; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel.

Anna Farquhar dies March 30, 1981

DENISON--The graveside service for Mrs Anna M. Farquhar, 84, Kansas City, Kan., formerly of Leavenworth, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Denison Cemetery.

Mrs. Farquhar died Tuesday in a Kansas City, Kan., hospital. She was born in Leavenworth Feb 19, 1897, a daughter of Herman and Amelia Fritz Fischer.

She married George T. Farquhar Dec. 23, 1912, at Leavenworth. He died in 1949.

Mrs. Farquhar had lived in Kansas City, Kan., the past 27 years.

Survivors include a son, Thomas Farquhar, Leavenworth; five daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Stockwe.., Beloit, Wis., Mrs. Pearl Rhodes of the home, Mrs. Helen Reed, Shell Lake, Wis., Mrs. Anna May Jepson, Meriden, and Mrs. Dorothy Hatfied, Plainevill, Ind; three brothers, Henry Fischer, Frank Fischer and Otto Fischer, all of Leavenworth; 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
