I am looking for information on the Achilles Morgan Underwood (9/16/1824 - 5/24/1908) family. They moved from Illinois to Coffey Co. in the early 1880's. The children were Elam, Grant, John, William, America (T. A.l Wisemanon), Brook (John A. Fosdick), Ruth (Wayne M. Douglas) and Sarah (J. F. Owen). I would like to learn more information about this line and can provide information about the family prior to their going to Coffey Co.
Can you tell me anything about Charles POLAND, married to Rebecca GREEN? He is my grandfather's brother. I and another Poland descendant are very interested in learning more about him and his life and getting in touch with his family.
Thanks.
I am researching the family of William Dean COURTRIGHT and Sarah FLINT who migrated to Coffey County Kansas from Kankakee, IL. I show that they were there from approx. 1868 until 1888. I would appreciate any help. They had 9 children. Thanks.
I am researching JAMES ADDISON SKAGGS, b. 26 Sep 1823 in Monroe County, WV; married 19 Feb 1844 in Monroe County, WV to REBECCA LIVELY, b. 5 Nov 1821 in Monroe County, WV.
In about 1880, James and Rebecca SKAGGS moved to Coffey County, KS with some of their children. They probably settled around Strawn, but possibly Ottumwa. I am aware that Ottumwa was relocated because of the John Redmond Reservoir. Was the cemetery relocated as well? Any information would be appreciated. The Henrys

I am looking for information on John Lewis Howe b. Oct. 03, 1882 in Leroy KS. He married Myrtle Mae Bryan b. Sep. 24, 1885 also in Leroy. John's father is Horace Greely Howe b. June 1854 in Iowa. All I have on Horace are birth and death dates, I am looking for more about him. Information on this branch of the Howe family is very sketchy at best. I believe Horace was a farmer but I am not sure.
I am looking for cousins and info on my Beard family. They came from Illinois about 1860 and settled first in Pomona. Other connecting families are Myers, Poland, Sowers. Thank you, Barbara
