I would like to hear from anyone related to the Whistler family of Burlington, Coffey County, Kansas. John Harrison Whistler and his wife, Lydia (Blackburn?) Wallace Whistler were early settlers (ca 1857) of Burlington. He was an army officer, Indian trader, and farmer. By his first wife, he had five children: William, Mary, John H. Jr., Joseph, and Leora. By his second wife (Lydia) he had three children: George Garland, Henry and Lydia. Related families are: Sands, Grimes, Goodell, Flook, Reid/Read/Reed, Parsons, Kinzie, Manson, Fiscus, Dyker, Remy.

I'm searching for information concerning her grandparents: REED MCMULLEN married to LOTTIE (UNKNOWN LAST) MCMULLEN and JOHN WILLIAM COGHILL, b. 4/7/1856, d. 7/11/1911 married to ROSETTA (BAKER) COGHILL, b. 1/31/1859, d. 6/12/1934. Reed and Lottie's children were: JOHN REID MCMULLEN, b. 4/2/1894 Amiot, KS, d. 6/16/1964, Akron, CO. In addition, there were WILBER, CORNELIA and 4 other unknown children. John and Rosetta's children were:JAMES; LILLIE; EMMA; ERNEST; DOLLIE; FRANCES; KATHERINE; WALLACE; LOLA; EVA GLADYS, b. 11/7/1897, Lebo, KS; GEORGE; BEULAH; AND LULA COGHILL. JOHN REID MCMULLEN m. EVA GLADYS COGHILL, 11/16/1918, Lebo, KS. Does anyone know where Amiot KS is located? I cannot find it on any the maps I consulted? Any information on any of the above named individuals will be greatly appreciated!

Looking for history of my parents and grandparents. My father's name was George Anthony Boyle; born in approximately 1904. Raised by the Wagners. Also looking for history of my mother. Her maiden name was Naomi Bonita Woods. Born in approx 1911. She had brother Edgar. Her father's name was James Woods who died in approx 1949. Her mothers name was Martha Woods.
