Am looking for information on Perry Singrey and/or Roy Curtis Singrey. They lived near Baxter Springs from about 1893 to 1922. The went to Chereokee County from Indiana to work for R. O. Thomas.

Family stories have it that Perry also ran a Drygoods and Feed store in Baxter Springs. Is there anyone out there that knows of these two men. Perry married a woman while there.

Is there a historical book of businesses in Baxter Springs or something of this nature that I can purchase that would have this type of store listed?

I am looking for information on the parents of my grandmother, Louise (Cowsill) Scott. Louise was born in Scammon, KA. 1884. Her father's name was Thomas Cowsill, who we think immigrated from Machester, England at the age of nine. We have several different spellings on Cowsill, but this seems to be the most prevalent. My grandmother married Oscar Scott in Weir, KA. Kansas Vital Statistics has no record on file of Louise's birth. If this in any way matches with one of you, please contact me and I will give further info
