NATIVE OF CHASE COUNTY SUCCUMBS
Guy A. LaLoge of Emporia, who was a native of Chase County, died Monday morning, Dec. 29, in the Newman Memorial Hospital, Emporia.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, in the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel, Emporia, conducted by the Rev. Paul Barnett, pastor of the First Friends Church, Emporia, of which Mr. LaLoge was a member. Trevor Lewis sang accompanied by Mrs. Robert Plummer. Members of the Search Light Sunday School Class of the First Friends Church and the Lyon County Highway Department attended in groups. Burial was in Cottonwood Cemetery west of Emporia.
Mr. LaLoge was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude LaLoge and was born September 12, 1906, in Cedar Point. He had lived in Emporia since 1951.
Surviving him are his wife, the former Viola May Meyers, to who he was married, October 16, 1943, in Hannibal, Mo.; a stepson William E. Meyers, Cottonwood Falls, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Emil Laloge, and one sister, Mrs. Ernest (Rose) Carpenter.
Relatives attending from this area were Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Meyers, Larry and Brenda; Ernest Carpenter; Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Everett; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Blount and Jim Blount.

Guy A. LaLoge was the son of Claude F. LaLoge Jr. and Mary Helen (Patton) LaLoge. He was born Sept. 12, 1906, in Cedar Point, Chase Co., Kansas, and he died December 29, 1970, in Emporia, Lyon Co., Kansas. He was the grandson of John Thomas and Susan Frances (Hawkins) Patton.
