FORMER MATFIELD RESIDENT PASSES

Mrs. Robert (Tillie) Brandley, 85, of Eureka, formerly of Matfield Green and Cassoday, died Tuesday in the Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. this Thursday in the Campbell Funeral Home, Eureka, and graveside rites at 3:30 p.m. in Prairie Grove Cemetery, Cottonwood Falls, with the Rev. Thomas Robson, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Eastern Star services will be conducted by Falls Chapter No. 25 O.E.S., Cottonwood Falls. The Brown-Bennett Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Anna Matilda Meyer Brandley, daughter of the late Antone F. and Johanna Fischer Meyer, was born March 7, 1883, in Crawford County, coming to Chase County at an early age. After her marriage to Mr. Brandley they had lived for many years on the Brandley place at Matfield Green, moving to Cassoday in 1939. Mr. Brandley died there August 21, 1951. Mrs. Brandley had made her home with a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Robert Brandley in Eureka since 1958. She was a member of the Walnut Chapter No. 90, Order of the Eastern Star, Walnut, Kan. Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Turner, Richmond, Calif., and Mrs. Ruby Kirk, Emporia; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Graham, El Dorado, and Mrs. Bertha Wallace, Cassoday; her daughter-in-law; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Ruth Meyer, Marion, and Mrs. Pearl Harsh, El Dorado; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Robert Brandley.

BRANDLEY RITES THURSDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Robert C. Brandley, who died Tuesday in Eureka, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Campbell Funeral Home in Eureka. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery in Cottonwood Falls. Mrs. Brandley, the mother of Mrs. Robert Kirk, 931 Lincoln St., was born March 7th, 1883, in Crawford County. Other survivors are a daughter, Virginia Turner, Richmond, Calif., and two sisters, Clara Graham, El Dorado, and Bertha Wallace, Cassoday
