Obituary of DR. S. N. MALLISON
Dr. Mallison Dies
Champaign Physician was Decatur Health Officer in 1945

Dr S. N. Mallison,70, former Decatur superintendent of health, died at 2 a.m. yesterday at his home in Champaign, Illinois.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Heath Memorial Home, Dr. Oscar C Plumb, pastor of the First Methodist Church, Champaign, will officiate. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Heaths.

Dr. Mallison resigned his Decatur position after one years service in 1945 to take a position as Illinois health director of region 5. Champaign was his headquarters.

He leaves his wife Dorothy, at home and a daughter Mrs. Cecil Varner of Augusta, Kansas.

Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Catherine Rector of Kansas City, Missouri, and one granddaughter, Vicky 'Varner" Boucher of Augusta, Kansas.

Dr. S. N. Mallison and his wife lived in Augusta for many years and at one time operated the Mallison Sanitorium located on Santa Fe Street.
