Obituary of ROY WILLIAM DODSON
Roy William Dodson, 84, of El Dorado, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000 at the Peabody nursing home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Mike Blaine officiating. Interment will follow the services in Walnut Valley Memorial Park cemetery. Masonic services will be held at the funeral home.

He was born June 5, 1915 in Neck City, Mo. to Elmer F. and Olive Mae (Farthing) Dodson. He came to El Dorado from Missouri in 1927. He married Kathryn Lee on Dec. 19, 1941 in Guyman, Okla. She survives.

He was a retired welder and worked for Ironworkers Union Local 606. He was a member of Patmos Masonic Lodge #97, A.F.& A.M., and the Wichita Consistory.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Don of El Dorado, Loren of Benton and Duane of Mannford, Okla.; one sister, Goldie Blankenship of Titusville, Fla.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

A memorial has been established with Alzheimer's Association. Contributions may be sent in care of the funeral home.
