Obituary of DOYLE PURKEYPILE
Doyle Purkeypile, 79, of Eureka, died at his resident in Eureka on Tuesday, March 7, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 10, at the Campbell-Kelley Funeral Home in Eureka with the Rev. Mike Mnich and the Rev. Dennis Segebartt officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

He was born Jan. 30, 1921 near Hamilton to Glad Eric and Myrtle Mae (Langton) Purkeypile. He was raised in the Hamilton area and attended schools there.

On May 3, 1941, he married Emma Louise Vanderbilt at Howard. She survives.

They made their home in the Eureka community where he was a farmer and rancher and a pipeline construction contractor. He was a member of the Eureka Seventh Day Adventist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Allan of Eureka and Dean of Lenexa; two daughters, Ellen Martin of Rogers, Ark. and Marsha Lawinsky of Enterprise; two brothers, Dale, his twin, and Burl, both of Eureka; four sisters, Helen Biffington of Ottawa, Doris Segebartt, Thelma Ryan and Wanda Mitchell, all of El Dorado; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Don; brother, Harold; and two sisters, Gladys Owen and Ruby White.

A memorial has been established with the Eureka Seventh Day Adventist Church. Contributions may be sent in care of the church or the funeral home.
