LOUISE 1845; JOSEPH 1847; JOHN 1849; ADAM 1851; CHRISTIAN 1853; SUSANNA 1855, all born Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania.

ANNA MARTHA BAKER died Aug 01 1880, Atchison Co., GRANDSON, WILLIAM died Apr 01 1879, age 9 years and 14 days. William son of JOSEPH & HARRIET BAKER.

They are buried in PINE HILL CEMETERY last name spelled BEKER.

Believe JOSEPH & HARRIET L. BAKER were married in Atchison Co..In census 1880, they are living LITTLE BLUE, WASHINGTON CO., KS.

Died January 13, 1919. Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Effingham.

In 1904, he married:

HALL, Edith Mae (first wife), in Effingham, Kansas, in 1904



She, in turn, was the daughter of:

HALL, M. J. (died ca. 1894, in or near Effingham), and

HALL, Elvina (nee Riddle)



One of the children of Charles Phylitus and Edith Mae Hall Whittier was my father, Charles W. Whittier, born September 18, 1911,

Spokane, Washington; died May 25, 1999, Spokane, Washington

The connection of my father, Charles Wilton Whittier, with Effingham is that Charles Phylitus Whittier (my grandfather) and his family

returned to the Effingham area after living in Spokane, Washington, and before moving on to live in the Dalhart, Texas, area. While in

the Effingham area, they lived with my great-grandparents, Laforest R. and Caroline D. Van Doren Whittier.
