Obituary of STELLA DENNIS SHATTUCK
Stella Dennis was born in Marshfield, Missouri, August 14, 1871. She grew up in Pleasanton and became one of the most popular of the school teachers of Linn county.

On March 11 1894 she was united in marriage with G. M. Shattuck at Pleasanton, Kansas. They made their home in Valley township a number of years, and in 1902, Mrs. Shattuck left the scenes of her early life to join her husband in Lead, South Dakota, where he had gone the years before to establish a homestead. There she lived until she laid down the struggle of this life on June 27, 1922 at the age of 50 years, 10 months and 13 days.
