Department Commander Loomis in planning for the Washington trip arranged for and took four musical organizations, namely: Caman Military Band of Winfield; Hays Military Band of Hays; Sterling Military Band of Sterling, and the Modoc Club of Topeka; in all comprising 128 musicians. All four organizations participated in the parade.
