 Special Places in Jewell County
- Lovewell Reservoir in a hilly section of northern Jewell county is one of the prettiest lakes in the state. There's also a state park there.
- The Ute Theater in downtown Mankato has been refurbished and is
showing movies again.
- The Jewell County Historical Society in Mankato has two large store buildings on Commercial St that are crammed full of exhibits and artifacts.
- The old stone jail in Mankato is a perfect expression of the optimism that led Kansas to build such ornate public works.
